Prof. Qiang Chen, Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES), China

Qiang Chen, Professor, Professor of Computer and Information at the Computing Center of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, Ph.D. in Geophysics from the State Key Laboratory of Marine Geology (STATE KEY-Tongji University) in 2002,

Postdoctoral fellow in the key of the National Ministry of Education for Geographic Information Science of East China Normal University Laboratory -East China Normal University Geography (3S-GIS/RS/GPS fusion satellite computing).

Senior Visitor in UTCUniversity of Tennessee at Chattanooga USA and UMLUniversity of Massachusetts at LowellUSA 2013-2014.

In the 1980s, he was engaged in oil and gas exploration on digital oil field engineering research and application granted by the Ministry of Petroleum CHINA. From the 1990s to the mid-2000s, he was engaged in earth exploration at China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and China Petrochemical Corporation (SINOPEC). And geophysical imaging theory and technology research. During the work of the oil and gas exploration state-owned super large enterprise group, he completed a number of major engineering projects. Had been Worked for more than 20 oil and gas fields across the country, such as Tarim and KaramayXinjiang, have left their footprints and have achieved fruitful results.

The combination of theory and practice has formed a unique combination of science and engineering. Participated in the national 973 and 863 projects successively; such as the major special project of deep-sea and ocean drilling, the major frontier research of the integration of southern marine exploration, seismic and geology, and the national 863 plan based on the SIG spatial information grid. Member of National University Computer Basic Education Research Association Information Technology New Engineering Special Committee, University Computer CMOOC Alliance Special Committee, Chinese Petroleum Society, Geophysical Society, etc. Experts in the field of Shanghai economy and information technology. He has won 3 provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological achievements awards, has published nearly 100 core journal papers, authorized more than 10 national invention patents, and completed the supervision of nearly 100 master and doctoral students.

in the past five years, Professor Chen has mainly carried out research work in four areas: One is a smart city pipe network service system that integrates media and LBS (location-based service) calculations, including geo-spatial, ground and underground integrated modeling, and AVR virtual reality augmentation Realistic applications, serving the urban underground pipe gallery, trenchless underground pipeline engineering technology and other fields. The second is the field of mechatronics engineering, detection technology and information processing, serving practical engineering applications such as engineering measurement and detection. The third is shale gas logging analysis and evaluation artificial intelligence and big data engineering theory, technology and software system. The fourth is the integration of 3S and SIG satellite computing, serving smart cities, smart agriculture, and smart+, including major projects "Bridge  inspection technology and application  based on multi-source seamless positioning and navigation granted by Shanghai Science and Technology Commission " etc.
